This superstar classic rock vocalist isn’t slowing down anytime soon. In a recent interview with Consequence Of Sound, Steve Perry discussed everything from his recent Willie Nelson collaboration to the legacy of his old band, Journey.
Like the “No Caller ID” singer, sparkly costumes and sad-girl lyrics are part of Olivia Rodrigo’s appeal. So it’s not surprising that the “vampire” songstress, 22, comes immediately to mind when Moroney thinks of potential future duet partners.
“I would imagine that [our song] would lean sad and angry,” she said in an interview with People. “I think we would crush an idea like that.”
Personally, I’m into it. But if you’re looking for something lighter, Moroney’s got you there, too. The CMA Award-winning artist would also love to team up with pop star Tate McRae for a “more fun” project. In fact, we got a glimpse of this last August when Moroney joined the “Greedy” star, 21, onstage in Nashville for a duet of “Tennessee Orange.”
